It's 3 pm and I'm sitting on the terrace of the beautiful, romantic house of cousin Ann and her husband John, surrounded by roses and other flowering plants and accoustically accompanied by the concert of dozens of white "perroquets" who are either playing, fighting or making love. Didn't quite figure out which one...
It's a paradise, the ocean is a few steps away and the little boat waighting but due to the wind we couldn't go out and swim with the dolphins (yet). But we won't stay for long here as we are soon off to the beachhouse in the South where in about 9 hours from now we will celebrate the start of 2014, 7 hours earlier than you guys!
Since we will not have wifi in the beachhouse and as we are leaving soon, so probably no time to write in several languages, I'm only writing in English this time.
It's unbelievable that already 6 days passed since we started this Holiday! And we did so much already!
After a quite friday where we walked around in the charming town of Fremantle, just South of Perth, and finished the day with very tasty curries there we made acquaintace with the Gilddon-family in a huge beachhouse, very nice.
We ended the day in a restaurant with friends of Ann and John, where we ate a wonderfully prepared huge fish, the nannagai. Great food, but the guys, I believe, were more interested in the most beautiful waitresses.....
And the next day it was time for Willem to rediscover, after 50 years, another part of his "lost" family in Australia: cousins Pauline and Bas and their family whom we met at a delightful lunch prepared at Pauline and Alan's place .
Yesterday (monday) we drove about two hours to the South, to Bunbury where Ann and John work and live, a charming town on the oceanside.
We just got word that we have to go, so....... as we will have no wifi for a few days: HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!!!!!
(We will fly out on saturday to Auckland and hopefully we will be able to be on wifi again on sunday.)

Nou ja , dat klinkt geweldig!!!!!! wordt er helemaal jaloers van. Wat heerlijk dat jullie het zo goed hebben daar. Geniet er bovenmate van !
Wij gaan over 2 weken naar Oosterijk, lekker wandelen in de sneeuw (die er nog niet is)m aar genieten van de omgeving , de rust en elkaar!
